We were delighted to learn that Concern Worldwide recently won the award for best leadership development initiative at the National Training and Development awards in Ireland.
The award recognises the results that Concern have achieved through their Pathway programme – a broad ranging leadership development programme available to managers across the organisation.
Pathway is a genuinely blended learning programme, using a mix of:
- Social contexts – individual, one to one and group
- Delivery channels – face to face, online and offline
- Communication modes – same time and own time
- Learning strategy – instruction, guided discovery and exploration
The programme was developed and implemented by Honor Marr and Martin Shaughnessy at Concern Worldwide, with support from subject matter specialists and expert facilitators.
We are delighted to have worked with Concern over the last few years and to have made some small contribution to their success. We helped them select an LMS, choose an authoring tool and get started using it as well as working with them to extend their instructional design capabilities to be better able to use technology as part of their blended approach. We’ve also worked with them to design and develop some of the online elements for various learning programmes, including Pathway.
So, congratulations to Honor, Martin and all of their colleagues at Concern Worldwide for this well deserved recognition.
