Hi Scott. In answer to your question about virtual meetings, like any other technology you have to use your judgement about when it's appropriate to use it. Internally, it's a no brainer for us to meet virtually as we're geographically dispersed.

Client reaction has also been very positive, mainly because it can keep both time and costs low. There are times when face to face is most appropriate, but we do have clients that we have never met in person, and that hasn't been a barrier to delivering great projects and developing solid relationships.

Thanks for the tweet about this Barry. I was interested to hear about your virtual arrangements. How do your clients think about this? I'm sure virtual is the way forward for some businesses but I'm also interested to hear the client reaction.

@Simon I've been using MobileMe too, but neglected to mention it as it does seem to be more popular with Mac owners rather than PC users. I only really use it for syncing Safari as my calendars and address book are synced via Google Apps.

Agree with the post above, and add that using the MobileMe cloud has helped synchronise multiple calendars across PC, windows laptop and iPad. A similar period to build confidence has allowed me to travel without laptop; I now need to explore iWork.com ...

The explosion of the iPad is having a ripple effect across traditional PC makers. Adam Hartung, a columnist for CIO Magazine has some input on how we should be building a strategy around using tablets instead of PC’s in the future:
